CAT MAD

A little fact about me, I love cats. I've always had a cat in my life since I was born and I will admit that since moving to uni I do miss my kitty, Tiger also known as Tigsley, Tiggleypie, Tiggy, Poo, Kitty, Cat, the list goes on. I am one for little pet names for everything, for example David is Daveypie and Stan is Stanleybear. I really don't know why I do it, it just flows naturally out of my mouth :')
And because I'm missing Tigs I have decided I need a cat top in my life!
Kitty Tops

(Going from top left all the way round)

Unfortunately this is a petite top, booo
This is my fav, but at the moment I can't justify paying that much
This is also one of my fav's I love the colour of the jumper
This is such a cute top, it makes me giggle with cuteness, however I'm not keen on the neck line
I think this is my least favourite out them all as I think that the material looks quite thin and see through in the photographs
Yes, Yes, I know that this is not a top, but it has a cat on and its adorable and I need it on me
I love the detailing of the cat's face on this top and it looks like it would be really comfy to wear (not quite sure how)

Which top is your favourite? and have you already got a cat top?!

Pretty Bones

Hey,
Well it's freshers again, the plan was to go out every night but we are all suffering too much to go out again tonight. A couple of us went to Bed Nightclub in Leeds last night and it was very very messy to say the least. Sonia and Tori decided to buy a full bottle of Vodka at the bar so we all was drinking it like it was water and everyone sort of swarm around trying to get some vodka, t'was a hilarious night! However it ended with me falling over 2 seconds away from my flat, spraining my hand, waking the whole flat up and ringing my everyone at stupid o'clock... oooopsey

Apologies for the bad quality arrowing, but I have a poorly hand :(
My lovely girlies!

I also painted my nails yesterday and then I decided to go out in a dress that doesn't really go with them :')
I'm currently wearing Rimmel 60 second nail polish in Sky High shade, which is basically a genius in a bottle... It drys in 60 seconds, has a special flat brush which makes application easier and it can be applied in 1 sec, apparently. The dots and lines have been done with Primark nail pens, which I'm not very keen on as the white have now gone an off very pale yellow colour but that may be because of the blue base and they have chipped off easily.
I really wish I decided to do just dots because the lines are terrible, probably re-do these again tomorrow.

Anyway, the main reason for this blog today/tonight/this morning (I slept away my hangover and didn't wake up till 3pm so I'm not that tired now!!) was to promote my boyfriends band's new video which has been released finally, yay!

The band is called Valys, you can check them out on every form of social media here and you definitely need to download (free of charge, that what we like to hear, ayee) their single Pretty Bones and watch the new video!
Major link overload, but let me know if you enjoy their music! They've worked really hard and hopefully will be doing loads more gigs throughout the year.

Instaupdate #2

Hellloooo
The past couple of days, packing and moving back to uni. I also had an extended family engagement party on Saturday night, where I knew like nobody so I just downed Malibu and Cokes one after another on my own.
It was a generic family party, with a really bad DJ, a family argument (luckily it wasn't my side of the family) and a party goer who was too out of it and danced (well, fell) about with no dignity. T'was a fun night ...
This is the past week in photo's :)

Night out with my girls                                                                 Tigsley looking as beautiful as ever and David ruining it

Me and David enjoying the snow                                                                    I painted Christmas nails

I slept with my Wreck This Journal                                                         Need a hair cut!

Got my new Collar cuff on and I was about to dye my dip lilac              Found out Kate Nash is playing in Leeds, YES

Lilac didn't come out too good, and when I washed it                                                               Tiger JC'ing
again the next day it was just a dull lilac/silver/blonde colour

Come home to find Momma and Tiger like this                                                   Got my fringe back in!

Enjoying myself at my Family party                              Back at uni and my Hello Kitty case came! yayyaya

Finally my flat is a mess, as expected but the 3 girls that we live with are just disgusting, so I wrote them a message because its just ridiculous now.
Earlier I had to make a sandwich in my room because its just that gross!

Hope you've all had a great week, what have you been up to?

New Accessories: Everours Bargains

I’ve burnt out the family wireless, opps!  So I wrote this last night and posting it now because my brother went to bed so I didn’t want to wake him while getting the internet lead, cause I’m lovely like that, hehe…

Anyway, my Everours jewellery came yesterday, yay! Such a bargain I got in the sale, you should really check their site out, because everything they sell is just adorable!
It even came in a cute pink and white stripped sweet-like bag

I finally got myself a collar cuff, hooray, I’ve wanted one for ages and for a £2 I couldn’t say no! I love the triangle/zig-zag pattern that’s on them and it looks so cute on

P.s. my hair is like this as I have died the end lilac!

This pumpkin carriage necklace is so sweet, it even opens and closes with a magnet, it was only a £1 and it's just the right length chain!

I fell in love with this ring as soon as I saw it; I adore big statement rings so it just had to be part of my collection especially for £1. I love the colour of the rock, the detailing on the side of the ring and the adjustable ring so it can fit anyone.

Make sure you check out their website here!
I really wish they sold their clothes with more sizes because they are all so lovely and I highly doubt they will fit me :( Maybe in July I will be able to purchase something when I'm nice and slim?! Hopefully anyway...

Let me know if you have bought anything from Everours!

Watch time is it?

Hello Lovelies,
Been busy past couple of days trying to fit everyone in to say bye before going back to Uni at the weekend. I went out Saturday afternoon to take some Theory 59 band photos. They only gave me 30 minutes to photograph their pretty faces in a bitterly cold, windy field, I've not looked at them yet nor edited them so I'm not sure what they are like, I will post them when they are ready.
I also watched Dynamo, Magician Impossible series 2 last night, I really am just mind blown by Dynamo and it frustrates me that his tricks are impossible? Surely? I will be first to get tickets if and when he does a Live show, I need to see it for my own eyes!!

I've been after a watch for ages now and  really need/want one asap- especially for my lectures, so I can see how slow time is going without being rude and getting my phone out all the time.
A brown simple watch would be perfect like the ones below that I've had my eye on
1) ASOS Rabbit ears watch £20
I really wish this was a Cat not a Rabbit, the Cat watch isn't as cute and it has a black strap which sucks but I think that this Rabbit one is adorable
2) Casio Mini Digital Watch £30
A Casio Watch was on my Christmas list however I forgot to tell both my Momma and Papa, so Santa didn't know hehe. You can get these from various places like American Apparel which are slightly more expensive or you can get a good deal on eBay
3) River Island Vintage Style Patent Croc £15
This is sold out on both the River Island and ASOS website, I can totally understand why, This has to be one of my favourites out of this bunch. I love the Roman Numerals on the clock face.
4) Classic St Andrews Lady £166ish
This is my favourite watch out of the Daniel Wellington collection and what I would give to get one, just a bit out of my student budget at the moment, booey!
5) Brown Skinny Floral Watch £15
I like the simple floral design on the clock face and its such a good price
6) Brown Antique Watch £20
This is also one of my favourite watches, again I love the Roman Numerals on the clock face and I really like the colour of the strap

I will definitely be purchasing one of these in the next couple of weeks, need to get my save on!

I currently can not stop listening to the Foals. They're releasing a new album, Holy Fire which is out on the 11th February, and the two songs they have released already are just fabby! Give them a listen and definitely buy their new album, I will be...

Wish List #1 - ASOS Shirts

I'm still in love the statement peter pan collars on shirts, I just want everything to have a collar on!
I am a very busty girl (E cup to be precise) so I find it extremely hard to find anything to fit properly around the bust area, especially in shirts. Sheer shirts are a pain as I don't want to have my juggles on show and I can not find a bandeau to fit me ANYWHERE, my solution is a vest underneath, problemo solved. But then I have to go up at least 1 or 2 sizes to fit them in without the buttons opening at the bust. Overall boobs just aren't suitable.
At the moment I've been wearing my dad's old shirts which I have customised myself with studs or just wear them under a jumper, however they are really baggy and aren't that flattering. So I want some more...

ASOS Shirts

ASOS Shirts by clrl featuring asos

I love all of these shirts from ASOS, my favourites have got to be the Blue Blouse with Embroidered Mesh Collar (BL) and the White Blouse with Floral Embroidery (BM). I also love the Dahlia Stud Embellishment Collar Blouse (BR), I've had my eye on it for ages now and I just need it in my wardrobe! Check their website here, I'd buy the whole shop, if I could!

Have a great weekend!

Light Painting and Trails

I have been a big fan of photography since I took it up as a GCSE. I then carried it through the A-Level, and was thinking of taking it as a career... however I decided against it in the end, as I can still enjoy it as a hobby.
So, when David asked me if I would help him on his latest project I couldn't say no!
He was asked by our friend's band, Theory 59, if he would design the cover for their new EP which will be released very soon, check them out here and here. Their vision was to have light trails of cars coming from both sides of a road, neither of us had done this type of photography before and I left my DSLR in Leeds so we had to do with David's Lumix Digital camera, but overall we did well!

There is a difference between Light Trails and Light Painting, both involve the camera to have a very slow shutter speed, to be able to capture the light moving while the photograph is being taken.

Light painting is using a torch or a lighter to create lines and patterns where as light trails is the light that is captured from a car, bus or lorry. These examples were our first attempts which I don't think we could have done any better with the location we were at.

The second night we went to Country Park to capture some more light painting photographs in a better landscape and as there is a lake we could capture the reflection of the light on the water. On the way we stopped off at the Poundshop and purchased 2 torches, one red and one blue which were also glow sticks. The night wasn't a total success, we had to jump onto the jetty to take the photographs which was a challenge, then David's camera ran out of battery.
NOTE: If going out taking photos remember to charge your camera beforehand!
Luckily I brought my compact with me, so we proceeded to take more photographs but they weren't as good as we couldn't capture the reflection properly. From then on, we just messed about until it started to rain, so we decided to pack up and make our way home, which ended with David dunking his foot in the lake and me desperately needing the loo. Overall it was a hilariously bad night!

^^ This is my favourite shot of the night, I love the lighting in the background and the silhouette of my fluffy hood

On the third night of shooting we changed location again, this time we were shooting the light trails of the cars driving on the fly over. We took several photos on different parts of the road to try find the best shot.

After I had taken the photographs, it was over to David to do the editing! In the end we over lapped two of the images that we liked, taken in the same position just with different light trails and adding the EP writing and
tadarrrrr, the finished product

This EP will be available on a free download very soon, I will be sure to keep you updated!
What do you think of the EP cover?
